The Problem surrounding the GCE 2020 Release Date

With the coming of the global pandemic (Coronavirus COVID19), the academic year was disrupted due to the global shutdown that affected Cameroon in an attempt to halt the spread of the virus.

As a result of the disruption that took almost two months, the academic year had to be readjusted, causing the GCE General Certificate Examination exam to begin on the 20th of July 2020.

It was really a difficult academic year 2019/2020 as a result of the ongoing Anglophone crisis (particularly in the NW and SW) and the devastation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic that let to the halt of the academic year for over three (3) months.

Due to the encouragement from the minister of secondary education and the commitment of the educational staff, the school year ended successfully though late. It is better late than never.

Due to all these, the GCE Results 2020 will be delayed until at least October. The GCE results 2020 will be released, published, and made official by the GCE Board.
