Minister Nalova Lyonga denounces GCE exam fees

Minister Nalova Lyonga denies any GCE exam fees of a sum of 3500 FCFA for the organization of regional mock exams.

The Minister of Secondary Education, Mrs. Nalova Lyonga “informs the entire national educational community … that she has never authorized the collection of a sum of 3,500 FCFA per candidate for the organization of regional mock exams of the GCE of the 2019/2020 school year,’ read a press release published on December 20, 2019.

Also, the minister asked, “the immediate stop of this operation, underway in the Center region, which is not in accordance with the texts in force at the Ministry of Secondary Education“.

Ms. Nalova Lyonga “takes this opportunity to invite all links in the education chain to refrain from publishing unauthorized activities, particularly when they relate to the payment of illegal sums of money“.

The Registration Period for the 2021 GCE Examination Session has been Extended

The Registration Period for the 2021 GCE Examination Session has been Extended to suit candidates who couldn’t meet up with the 2021 GCE Examination Session Registration Period set aside by the Board.

This rapid decision came as a result of high requests by parents and students partaking in the 2021 GCE Examination Session.

Overview

The public is hereby also notified that during the extension period, the Registration Centres are strictly forbidden from collecting late entry fees from candidates or parents.

The Registration Period for the 2021 Session of GCE Examinations has been extended to Monday, 15th February 2021.

Deadline for reception of registration material at the GCE Board Head Office, Buea

2021 GCE Examination Session Extended

Consequently, registration documents should reach the GCE Board the latest Friday, 26th February 2021.
